Ghanaian striker Kevin-Prince Boateng has missed out on the 2017 FIFA Puskas Award after he failed to make the final shortlist.
Boateng's spectacular scissor-kick strike for UD Las Palmas against Villareal in October made the headlines in the La Liga and was subsequently nominated for the 2017 Puskas Award for the most beautiful goal of the season.
However, his goal could make the final three as it fell short of Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, Venezuelan female star Deyna Castellanos as well as South African goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke spectacular goals.
The winner of the Puskas Award will be announced on the day for FIFA gala.
